Project Overview

The Asia SPC for Nigeria Development is a Korea-USA-Nigeria trilateral investment vehicle led by GECF (Global Economic and Cultural Federation). It applies Korea's proven economic development model to Nigeria across energy, agriculture, manufacturing, real estate, and fintech sectors, targeting sustainable growth, job creation, and national modernization.

Business Overview

The Asia SPC for Nigeria Development is a Special Purpose Company established by GECF, a US-based nonprofit, to channel Korean investment expertise into Nigeria's industrial modernization. Nigeria, Africa's largest economy with a population of approximately 237.5 million and a nominal GDP of around $243 billion, presents expansive opportunities across energy, agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
The core project portfolio includes a 1,000MW bio power plant ($6B), a microalgae crude oil production complex ($1.2B), a broiler integrated farm ($120M), smart farm vegetable complexes, a Sports Toto national revenue project ($150M), and industrial manufacturing complexes. Consumer-facing ventures include fintech, real estate development, Korean beauty shops, healthcare, international schools, and vocational training centers.
The SPC benchmarks Korea's Five-Year Economic Development Plan, prioritizing infrastructure in power, roads, and water systems, with financing structured through Korea's EDCF loans and ODA grants. The initiative is led by Dr. Do Gun Harry Hwang, officially appointed as Nigeria's Foreign Investment Advisor by the Nigerian government, with partnerships linked to Konkuk University and Korean engineering firms.
